The Longest Day
21 hours, 49 minutes and 36 seconds of daylight

Izzy took this picture at 12:20 am
For me, there's always sadness connected with the longest day because the next day we start LOSING daylight. 😫

Knotty Girls

Grandma, Jami and Izzy
We drove to the Knotty Shop* for ice cream. The huckleberry flavor was delicious. I was sorry I didn't order 2 scoops!
*30 miles southeast of Fairbanks.

Dried Roses

I dried a few roses from a couple of flower arrangements I received last month after my heart ablation. They are a reminder of answered prayers, love and support.  It's been over a month since my ablation and I'm still feeling great.

Andrew's 19th Birthday

Carina and Andrew          Andrew with Grandma and Poppop

Andrew (grandson) was working out of town on his actual birthday (6/10), so we celebrated when he got home....with french dip sandwiches and strawberry shortcake (menu selected by Andrew).

Auntie Nicole and Mom Jami celebrating Andrew's birthday!

Knitting Washcloths

Jami and I are knitting washcloths to go in the bags Jami creates for chemo patients.

90 Degrees on June 29th

TOO HOT!!!!!

Cooking Dinner on the back deck
Spaghetti sauce over spaghetti squash.
My first time to cook and eat Spaghetti squash.  (I cooked regular spaghetti noodles for Dave.)

"God has given us gifts, by His grace, not by our works.
God has put us where we are and He will show us where we should go from here.
Be humble. Be gracious and grateful."
